Sixteen-and-a-half-mile Saturday

For those who paddled on Saturday from the powwow grounds to Egan, the route measured about 16.5 miles total based on member's GPS. The video above shows John Adler of Pierre finishing his day. But both John and Ryan S. wanted to either keep going or run back up and do the route again.

In all, more than 20 folks put in at the powwow grounds. BSR April 25-2009 087

Add in those who started in Flandreau and paddled to Egan and the turnout was nice, esp. considering the weather forecasts. Here are some more photos from the event.

Thanks Jarett for another great event. More of you need to get out to Pierre so we can show you around.

And just in case you missed it - I have now paddled 25 straight months and am up to over 60 miles since January 1. : )
