Sunday, Nov 3: BSR Cruise - Trent to Dell Rapids

Join the SD Canoe & Kayak Association for our annual President's Cruise on Sunday, November 3. This year, we'll be paddling the Big Sioux River from Trent to Dell Rapids.

Meet at the River of the Double Bend Campground in Trent at 12:30pm (map below). We'll shuttle vehicles to the Dell Rapids City Park boat ramp and plan to be back in Trent and on the water by 1:15pm.

This cruise covers 11.5 miles.

The campground has canoes to rent, if you need one. Comment on this thread so we can reserve one for you.

With the cold temps, be sure to bring a spare change of clothing in a dry bag.

Let us know if you have any questions.

ONE MORE CLEAN-UP OCT 2nd

Cory Lee Diedrich
The weather is supposed to be nice again this Wednesday October 2nd, so we are sneaking in another river cleanup. Let's meet at the Big Sioux River off Minnesota Ave in the far east parking lot of Yankton Trails. The river is especially bad from Minnesota to Cliff. We will exit at Cliff Ave. Please try to meet as close to 5pm as possible so we shuttle and still get time on the river. Let me know if you have questions, or call Dave @ 605-366-6844.
